A paper plate craft flower combines bright colour and freshness

Simplicity itself is this paper plate flower, a craft for children bursting with colour and freshness. Most children love bright and bold paints, this craft caters for that and then some. You will need:

- Paper plate, small or large

- Paper cupcake cups

- Pipe cleaners

- Craft paints

- Craft glue

- Glitter

- Thin black marker

Method: Draw the flower design on the paper plate with a black pen or dark pencil.

Paint away, choosing colours and look and feel with care.

Tip: Mix one or two drops of potpourri oil in the paint.

Stick one cupcake in the middle of the paper plate, turning the edges down slightly. Stick the second cupcake in the middle of the first. Stick the pipe cleaner carefully to the back of the paper plate flower craft.
