Make these easy robot or dollhouse or train crafts for children
Try these three easy crafts for children: Make a robot(2+ years) You will need:-An empty cereal box-Four small yogurt container-Permanent marker -Two to four empty toilet rolls or cardboard tubes-Glue-Old buttons-Glitter glue-Various bottle lids for eyes and so on-Pair of scissors Use the cereal box as the body for the robot. Make holes on the sides of the cereal box for the empty toilet rolls to fit in. Cut slits round the top of the one side of a toilette roll. Push the toilet roll through the opening in the side of the cereal container. Fold out the slits and glue. A two year old might not be able to do the cutting and gluing of the arms but if you demonstrate and explain, they will soon learn how to do it themselves. Use sticky tape to lengthen the arms with another empty toilet roll if needed. Let the child decorate the body with paint, crayons, buttons etc. Make a house for a doll (3+ years)One of the favourite crafts for children. You will need:-A box big enough for the size of your doll to fit in.-Paints-Crafts knife for cutting out windows (supervision needed)-Scraps of fabric, ribbon and lace for making tie-backs, carpets and blankets.(Pieces of polar fleece make great carpets and blankets)-Glue-Stapler (supervision needed)-Use your imagination to create different furniture and accessories for the dollhouse Mark out the basic floorplan of the dollhouse on the box. Allow your child to help you. You can suggest where the bed may fit, and so on.Construct furniture using cardboard. Staple fabrics to the board, or use paints to decorate them. Use your imagination.Cut out the windows of the house with the crafts knife. Take extra care while cutting.Paint the house.You can use as many boxes as you wish to make extra rooms. Make a toy train (2+ years) You will need:-3 to 4 shoe boxes-String-Scissors-Paint to decorate the boxes to look like a train and carriages-Large buttons Decorate the boxes with paint. Make a hole on each of the short sides of the shoe boxes. Thread the string through the holes and tie them to the buttons so the string stays secure. You can keep the lids and store small toys in the train.
