Percussion and string crafts for children.

Music fun with these:

Guitar box: (2+) (Keep the elastic bands out of reach once finished)

You will need:

- A shoe box and lid.

- Three elastic band of different widths.

- Sticky tape.

- Stickers or pictures (use gift wrap to save time).

Draw a circle or oval on the inside of the box lid and cut out the circle with a crafts knife. Tape the lid to the box. Decorate the box and lid with sticker or pictures. Pull the elastic bands over the hole in the lid. Sticky tape them down. Make sure you supervise carefully to avoid accidents or injuries.

Sunday school lesson idea: David played the harp for Saul to calm him 1Sam. 16 v14-23.

Drum:

You will need:

- Coffee tin with lid.

- Old spoon/s.

- String.

Decorate the coffee tin (for example serviette decoupage). Make two holes on the sides of the tin. Thread the ends of the string through the holes and knot. Put the lid on. Use the spoon to hit the drum as it is hanging around your neck.
