Crafts for children fun lantern decorations

Decorate with crafts for children light in the darkness lanterns, easy for little hands to make, colourful to look at.

You will need: -Toilet roll inners; -Paper; -Glue; -Glitter; -Stapler; -Pastels, crayons, or paint; -String or thin ribbon or coloured pipe cleaners; -Scissors.

Method: Cut A4 paper into 4 to make four A6 size pieces. Colour in or decorate the one side of one of the A6 pieces. Fold it in half lengthways. Cut six or seven slits into the middle of the folded paper about halfway across, not right through.

Spread some glue round the centre of the toilet roll inner and cover with glitter. Leave this to dry. Cut a piece of string or thin ribbon.

Then spread glue on the length of the A6 paper above and below the slits. Glue the paper onto the toilet roll so that the edge of the paper is close to the edge of the toilet roll inner.

Cut the pipe cleaner in half and staple it at the edge of the toilet roll to make a handle. To secure, fold the edges of the pipe cleaner back over the staple.
