Crafts for children egg box men

Crafts for children will always make use of a spare egg box, a few small nuts, sweets or chocolates, some craft paint and a measure of creativity thrown into the mix. Just a few minutes is all it takes for these useful little boxes to come to life. Use them as birthday party table decorations filled with a few sweets, nuts or chocolates.

You will need:

- Egg box sections;

- Craft paint;

- Craft glue;

- Small plastic eyes or black marker;

- Scissors;

- Sticky tape.

Method:

Carefully cut a one egg section off the box. Make sure you cut the 2 complete sections, one for the top and bottom. Paint and decorate the cell as desired. You now have a section with make a hinge that can be opened at the back with glue, sticky tape or if you have a small stapler you can staple them together. Glue down plastic eyes or draw them on with black marker, these are normally available from stationery or crafts shops. The duck in the picture has a piece of orange cardboard cut to resemble a duck bill.

Variations:

Use tin foil to cover your egg segments to make a robot. Make long white cardboard teeth to stick on for a monster.
