A crafts for children jungle snake beading bracelet with press stud:
In making this jungle snake bracelet, you will learn the back and forward bead threading technique. The colour used is just a guide to help explain the pattern more easily.
You will need:
1 small packet of yellow seed beads;
12 blue seed beads;
2 black seed beads;
1 small packet of blue bugle (tube) beads;
1 press stud about 7mm in diameter;
Old nail clippers to cut the beading wire;
Small pliers to assist pulling the wire through in difficult places;
Wire 0,28” (0.75mm) thick and 1,5 m or 59” long.
Method to make this crafts for children beading snake:
The jungle snake tail:
Step 1) String one seed bead on wire and loop:- round and back through hole. String seventeen seed beads on both ends of the wire; alternate between green and blue seed beads.
Row 1) String two yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the first two beads.
Row 2) String three yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the three beads.
Row 3) String four yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the four beads.
Jungle snake body.
Measure the circumference of your wrist to fit this crafts for children beading jungle snake.
Row 4) Thread one blue bugle bead. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the bugle bead.
Row 5) Repeat row 4.
Row 6) Thread four yellow seed beads on one wire. Thread the one side of the wire round through the four beads.
Row 7) Repeat Row 6.
Continue with this pattern until you achieve the circumference of your wrist.
The Jungle snake head:
Row 1) Complete the desired length of the jungle snake’s body to match your wrist circumference. Then thread four yellow seed beads on one of the wires. Continue by threading the one side of the wire round and back through the four yellow seed beads.
Row 2) Repeat row one.
Follow the pattern to complete the head.
When you want to secure the wires to finish, loop the wires around and through the blue seed beads you have threaded on to form the fork in the snakes tongue. Pull firmly. Then clip carefully with the old nail clippers. Be sure not to clip the
loops round the seed beads.
Take two smaller pieces of wire to fasten the two sides of the press stud to the body of the snake. You can maybe use the left over pieces from making the snake.
One side of the press stud on the top of the body just behind the tail.
The other side of the press stud under the body just before the head of the snake. Thread one of the small pieces of wire through the already fastened beads of the body. Then thread the wire through the holes of the press stud as if “sewing”. When you want to secure the wires to finish, loop the wires around and through a bead. Pull firmly. Then clip carefully with the old nail clippers. Be sure not to clip the loops round the seed beads.
Variations:
You can make a necklace by lengthening the body section of the snake.

Method for making this crafts for children beading jungle snake:
The jungle snake tail:
Step 1) String fifteen seed beads on the centre of the wire; alternate between green and blue seed beads.
Thread both sides of the wire together through seven seed beads; alternate between green and blue seed beads.
Row 1) String two yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through these first two beads.
Row 2) Next, string three yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the three beads.
Row 3) String four yellow beads. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the four beads.
Jungle snake body.
Measure your wrist and subtract the length of the jungle snake tail which is 3 cm and the head which is 2,7cm. The measure that remains will be the length of the snake body.
Row 4) Thread one blue bugle bead. Thread the one side of the wire round and back through the bugle bead.
Row 5) Repeat row 4.
Row 6) Thread four yellow seed beads on one wire. Thread the one side of the wire round through the four beads.
Row 7) Repeat Row 6.
Continue with this pattern until you achieve the length calculated previously for the Jungle snake body.
The Jungle snake head:
Row 1) Complete the desired length of the jungle snake’s body to match your wrist calculations. Then thread four yellow seed beads on one of the wires. Continue by threading one side of the wire round and back through the four yellow seed beads.
Row 2) Repeat row one.
Follow the pattern to complete the head.
When you want to secure the wire to finish, loop the wire around and through the blue seed bead you have threaded on. Pull firmly. Then clip carefully with the old nail clippers. Be sure not to clip the loop round the seed bead.
