This crafts for children bookmark will make a great Valentine's Day gift.

Making this crafts for children bookmark can be loads of fun. There are variations to make as well. You will need:

Tongue depressor;

Glue;

Pieces of ribbon;

Small stamps, felt pens, glitter glue, small stickers, lace;

Method: Decide on the stamps and colours that will match your ribbon. Stamp a pattern on one side of the tongue depressor. You can colour the inside of the stamp using all or some of the following items; glitter glue, felt pens and stickers. Some of the felt pens may bleed. Use one of the tongue depressors to test which felt pens do not bleed. When you are happy with the pattern, you can cut the ribbon 10cm longer than the tongue depressor’s length. Glue the ribbon carefully on the blank side of the tongue depressor.

Variations:

Modge podge a small motive or pattern from serviettes or tissues onto the tongue depressor. Stick some lace onto the blank side of the tongue depressor before sticking down the ribbon.

Make a scent stick for a cupboard, car, room or entrance hall. -Decorate two tongue depressors. Glue a piece of thin string with a loop and or clip to the one blank side. Glue the blank sides together. Apply some Aromatic Essential oils and hang in the appropriate place.
