A crafts for children autumn leaf foil card

Many natural objects make crafts for children projects fun because the resources are easy to access. In this case, the primary objects are Autumn leaves that have fallen from the trees. Only the aluminium foil and card are man-made products.

In the Southern hemisphere, the season of Autumn, or Fall, comes when our friends in the Northern hemisphere are enjoying the first days of Spring. One can use a new Spring leaf or a golden Autumn leaf for this card craft.

You will need:

- Autumn leaves; - Coloured card stock; - Aluminium foil, heavy guage; - Craft glue; - Decorative stickers; - Glitter glue.

Method: First place your tree leaves between the pages of a thick book, (old telephone directories work well for this purpose), and press them flat for two weeks. This is to flatten the leaves but also to dry them out. Make sure you choose your leaves carefully for their good shape.

Glue your chosen leaf onto the card.

Take a small square of tin foil and place it over the dry leaf. Slowly and carefully press the foil doen over the leaf so that you are left with an embossed section that copies the shape of the leaf underneath. Carefully stick the foil square onto the card.

Decoarate the rest of the card with glitter glue and stickers.

Finally, write a cute and loving message to warm your mom's heart!
